Paul B. / New Cell Phone / Todd Trax

So, I have been listening to alot of music lately. I came across Paul's new single, "Your Name", which will be released with the rest of his new album in March. I, like Todd, didn't find the "offering" album initially to be great. I listened to it alot and thought about the lyrics and how they glorify God and man, I was hooked. Paul is great and so is this new track. I definately look forward to hearing more from this new album...maybe some more electrnoics...

Today I went to get my phone transfered over to Cellular One (yuck)...and unfortunatel, I wasn't given a new phone for free due to system incompatability. It was either, continue to use my dad's phone (and leave him without one), or buy a new one. Angela got a new one as well. I got the Nokia 6102 (the new phone they are advertising on TV)...it's pretty cool, worth my money.

Finally, I am back to the realm of digital recording. It's been a while and i'm a little older and a little wiser. Todd has me working on "Promised One". I have learned how to record synth stuff, and also bass lines. Well, it's trickier than I thought, bass is tough. It makes me really appreciate and respect my worship team even more. I am hoping that we can get this one done and move on to something else. I enjoy doing this and am learning so much about Reason, music theory, and arranging.

Alright, I'm out!

Gotta start posting!

So, I haven't updated this sucka' in a while. Why you ask? Because I am stinkin' busy!

Life has been hectic...with Hearts Afire, Grace Bible Church (AM Worship and Crosspoint), other Wesley stuff, and school....I stay busy. Right now, I am doing laundry and cleaning the dorm so that it is somewhat presentable.

Today I went and played some music with Paul at GBC. We played a couple songs and I realized my setup was NASTY! I wish I could just wiggle my ears and my drums would set themselves up with the perfect configuration, but, that's not possible. So for the rest of the time we were there, I tore down and set up the drums. Paul and I talked alot about Wesley, Grace, and lots of other stuff. It was good times!

So tomorrow, Paul Hagler will be leading worship and it should be interesting. I wasn't at practice, so I am a bit out of the loop. We'll see. Until tomorrow.
